Our Lady of Santa Clara Ambassadors
Fr. Thomas Vendetti, LC
Father Thomas is originally from Rockville, MD. He joined the novitiate of the Legion of Christ in Connecticut in 1995. He studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome and obtained a licentiate in philosophy and bachelors in theology. He recently completed his MA in Christian Spirituality at Fordham University in NY, focusing on the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Since his ordination to the priesthood in 2009 he has served in the New York Tristate area for four years as vice rector and director of development for the Legionaries’ center of philosophy in Thornwood, NY, as well as chaplain for Regnum Christi in Manhattan. From 2013 to 2016 he was local director and chaplain for Regnum Christi in Chicago. He is currently serving in the Bay Area as director for Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center and chaplain for Regnum Christi.
Savanna Plunkett
Savanna, originally from Temecula, CA, now resides in Cumming, GA, where she is discerning a vocation with the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. Her life was profoundly transformed during a 30-Day Ignatian Retreat at Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center, where she encountered the healing and merciful love of God in a deeply personal way. Now ablaze with a desire to help others experience that same love, Savanna serves on the Divine Mercy Healing Team and supports the retreat center through her work in marketing and content creation. She leads the center’s web design and Instagram presence, using her creativity to invite others into the sacred space where her own transformation began.
Mitali Perkins
Mitali Perkins is an award-winning author whose novels for young readers—including You Bring the Distant Near (a National Book Award nominee) and Rickshaw Girl (adapted into a feature film)—explore themes of identity, compassion, and transformation. Her passion is to move hearts through storytelling, helping readers laugh, cry, and grow. Mitali currently supports Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center by assisting with writing, editing, and social media outreach, using her gifts to help communicate the center’s mission of healing and renewal. She lives and writes in the San Francisco Bay Area.
